May’s book, Whistling Past the Graveyard by Susan Crandall is a wonderful book to follow April’s. For June, Marion Wada has selected Desert Exile by Yoshiko Uchida, on one family’s Japanese Interment experience during WWII. As a 10-year-old, of course Marion’s experiences were very different from those older than she was at that time.
Please consider joining us. We’ll Zoom again on May 19th at 11 a.m., but are considering an in-person meeting in June. Contact Mary Carney to join the group.
